PGGB: Typefaces
Just playing around with some typefaces for this product. I'm going for a very simplistic, futuristic typefact that is very visible and easy to understand while looking very 'stay away from me' and standoffish, if that makes sense.
The typeface that I went for is called Headline and I got it off dafont.com. I seem to get a fair few of my typefaces from there and if you keep sifting through the rubbish you can find some really nice ones and all completely free, hurrah! Anyway, now that I have my chosen typeface, I just played around with the sizing and the kerning of the letters to try and create something. I didn't really have something in mind while doing this, I was just playing to see what I could make. I ended up playing around with the warp tool a fair amount to see how crazy I could go.
I actually really like these angled ones at the bottom of the sheet, they remind me a little of Star Wars. Either way, they look very 'space age'.
